Organized by Mandat International, IEEE IoT TsC, the IoT Forum and IPv6 Forum

(colocated with the IoT Week)

6-9 June 2017

Geneva, Switzerland

There are several challenges in terms of turning the vision of IoT into reality. This includes architecture, communication, services, computational intelligence, storage, governance apart from core areas of sensor development and material engineering. This conference brings together researchers from diversely cross-disciplinary areas to address challenges in the emerging discipline. Co-located with 2017 IoT Week organized by the IoT Forum, GIoTS-2017 discusses the recent advances in Internet of Things and the feasibility of extending IoT, including wireless sensor network technology, to become truly ubiquitous with new Cloud computing technologies, Big data analysis, citizen engagement and Governance.

The 2017 Global IoT Summit (GIoTS) seeks contributions on how to nurture and cultivate IoT technologies and applications for the benefit of society, cross-domain studies that address the challenges of IoT, including emerging and disruptive technologies, and prospective analysis.

Original papers are solicited in, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • IoT Enabling Technologies
  • IoT Applications, Services and Real Implementations
  • IoT Multimedia IoT Societal Impacts
  • Security and Privacy for Internet of Things
  • IoT Experimental Results and Deployment Scenarios

Special Session and Workshop Proposal Submissions

GIoTS 2017 will be hosting a series of special sessions and workshops and invites the submission of special session and workshop proposals. They should emphasize on current topics relevant to the IoT community on the latest research, engineering, standards and business issues and should include a mix of regular and invited presentations. Special Sessions should complement the regular program with new and emerging topics of interest.

Each Special Session/Workshop must include the following and should be maximum five pages:

  • Title
  • Length of the workshop (half/full day)
  • Names, contacts and a short bio (200 words) of the workshop organizers
  • Brief description of the workshop including abstract, scope and timeliness.
  • Planned format of the workshop including no. of referred papers, hot topic sessions, keynotes, and panel discussions.
  • Potential participants including TPC members and invited speakers.
  • Brief description of advertising plan
  • Prior history the workshop (if any)
  • Draft call for papers
  • Any other relevant information

Accepted Special Sessions and workshops must implement IEEE academic best practices regarding peer reviews and paper publication. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases

The proposal must be submitted through EDAS system at – https://edas.info/N22968 using the option for “Special Sessions or Workshop Proposal”.
